Unfortunately, since my health insurance through my father is dependent on me being enrolled as a full time student, I have had absolutely NO insurance. What does that mean? Well, it means i had to put a few AWESOME things on the back burner...
1) Another skydiving session
Still in the works - Indefinitely, until i have insurance :(
2) Trip to Mexico
Still in the works: If you want to go here's more details:
Beach house: $100/night (for everyone, not per person)
House Boat: $300/day
3) Trip to NorCal
As of right now im planning on going up to NorCal sometime the weekend of September 15th, and staying through the 18th. I'll be in town on the 18th for a Medical School Open House, but the rest of the time I'll be hanging out with friends.
4) Trip to Las Vegas
Vegas with Joy's family was fun... it was HOT!!! But fun nonetheless.
Plans are currently being panned out for a trip with the guys. So far, Kevin, Myke, Kyle and myself will be going. You should too!
5) Water Sports - Jet Skis, Surfing, Wind Surfing
FUCK SUMMER SCHOOL!!! It kept me busy all summer and i was only able to get out into the water THREE times!!!! WHAT A CROCK!... Oh well, snowboarding season is about to pick up and I will soon be able to find time to surf all i want!
6) Hang Gliding; Part deus
Still in the planning phase!
7) Bungee Jumping

So, apparently the AWESOME girlfriend had taken that website, and made reservations for both of us to go bungee jumping! She even got phone numbers of a few bro's she knew would want to come and was planning on inviting them to come along!!
BUT!!! I HAVE NO INSURANCE!!! So she said - NO! Not till you're covered!! DAMN!!!
8) Camping - Yosemite
Still in the planning phases.
9) Mini Roadtrip
Haven't put too much thought into it yet, but ill get on it shortly.

Aside from all of the fun I plan on having, I must not forget about the business that i need to get down to this summer. Forgive me for being repetitive, but not only must I keep the goals I have set for myself on my mind, but I must also prioritize them and set an action plan.
For the duration of the, "Summer" I believe my main focus should be on completing my courses and working. I do not plan on working excessively however, because school is of a primary importance to me at this time. School must come first.
After summer school, more specifically, September 12th, my focus should shift to concentrate on School and volunteer hours. During this time, I should need make time to reflect on what I have accomplished as an undergraduate and how i plan to use the tools i have acquired. I have already completed my registration and set my schedule up for MCAT studies, so as far as that is concerned, there is nothing left but execution.
So, from September through October, I will really be thinking about the direction I want to take with my life as a post-graduate. Sure, it seems that I may have already sealed my fate by deciding to take the MCAT, but things don't always go the way you planned, and if there's anything that i have learned at all, it's that sometimes you have to take a detour or two in order to get to your destination.
Balance is key. I must strive to keep a balance.

Now that that's out of the way...
Today marks an interesting occasion. Later today, my sister, is leaving on a roadtrip to Michigan. Well, i suppose its not much of a roadtrip, as she's staying out there for good. She'll be starting her studies in order to obtain her PhD.
I am happy that she has a directin in her life and that she knows what it is that she wants to get out of it. It motivates me a bit, to want to work harder, and get things done. I know too many people that have all the opportunity in the world, but they dont take advantage of it. They take that opportunity for granted everyday.
Growing up has been, is, and will be a very difficult process. But it needs to happen at some point or another - What better time than the present?

Transparency
There's really no point in having this blog, and not having anybody read it. Sure, i can keep it to myself, but what, exactly, is that going to do? Its just going to allow me to cheat myself. If nobody knows this exists, i dont have to keep myself accountable. Well, forget that! I, of all people should know a thing or two about holding people accountable.
Read it, soak it in, and keep me to it. If you dont want to fine. But at least I'll know for myself that theres nothing to hide. If there's anything that i fear, its that I'll let myself down.
Intensity, its coming...
Are YOU ready?
